Navel piercing
Our salon has more than 25 years of experience doing navel piercings.
The procedure is performed by long-term beautician/nurse Katrin Laak and nurse Karina.
All the navel jewellery we use in the installation are made of high-grade surgical steel, which is the most suitable for the first installation of the navel piercing.

The skin is cleaned, points are marked and a piercing is made with a needle. The installation of the navel needle is not particularly painful, because we also use surface anesthesia. Attention must be paid to the maintenance of a fresh piercing. A sea salt solution is best for this (1/4 teaspoon of sea salt per cup of water). Detailed care instructions are given to each customer personally. The piercing usually heals in up to half a year, in some people even in a few weeks. So those who want to flash the navel ring in the summer should start thinking about doing it in the winter just in case.

Navel piercing home care
Congratulations on your new body jewelry. In order for the navel rivet to be a pleasant addition to your appearance, it is important to keep the fresh wound moisturized and clean. Some tips:
Do not touch your fresh piercing with dirty, unwashed hands. Dirt and bacteria can easily be transferred from hands to a fresh wound.
Clean the area around piercing twice a day with a salt water solution. Add 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt to half a glass of boiled water.
Keep strong alcohol and des. substances away. They dry and irritate the skin and healing is rather retarded
Running water is better for a fresh piercing than soaking in a bath. In the shower, use a gentle washing gel that does not irritate the wound. Be sure to dry the skin, incubating it is not useful, to dry the wound in the first days, soft clean household paper is better than a wet towel
The navel ring does not need to be removed for cleaning and it is recommended to keep in for at least 1.5-2 months. Removing the navel ring too soon can mean that the hole will quickly grow back.

For minors, we ask for the parent’s consent for the installation of the umbilical cord. If possible, we ask a parent or guardian to accompany the minor to the piercing or to fill out the consent form and send it digitally signed to us by e-mail: info@bliss.ee
For 1-2 weeks, we would not recommend a sauna (bacteria can get into the wound when sweating), swimming in a pool and fresh water bodies, swimming in the sea and ocean (salt water) is not prohibited. Wear loose clothing. It is not recommended to wear close-fitting clothes of synthetic material or high-waisted pants around a fresh piercing, which can injure the fresh wound when moving and slow down healing. It is worth being careful with body creams, oils, sun protection sprays and also spray tans after the installation of the umbilical cord. The products can clog so that the wound cannot get air and an infection can occur.
Lighter irritations can be caused by various factors and usually pass quickly. A more serious and long-term irritation can also mean an allergy, and if there is also swelling and purulent discharge, it can be a sign of an infection caused by dirt. Cleaning with salt water usually helps, and a salt water compress can also be used. In case of swelling, also a cold compress. If in doubt, contact the piercer or your GP or nurse to discuss which treatment would be best.
Outgrowth – The navel jewellery can grow out unnoticed over time. The cause can be incorrectly fitted jewellery, rapid weight gain (pregnancy), rapid weight loss (decrease in skin elasticity) or the body's protective reaction to a foreign object.
Excess flesh - the "flesh" that usually appears near the lower part of the navel is, unfortunately, an unexplained body reaction. It does not require medical intervention, and if the navel jewellery is removed, this anomaly will also disappear, however, it may also disappear over time during regular cleaning.
Earring piercing
Earring holes are made using the STUDEX gun method.
During the piercing process, mistakes are excluded. Puncture is carried out exactly at the marked point. During the piercing, the earrings chosen on the spot are also installed. Piercing is not painful 🙂 Stud earrings are made of high quality surgical metal or titanium. Stud earrings are available with or without crystals, so they are not only intended for piercing, but also for later use. For home care, we recommend a sea salt solution rather than strong antiseptics, which dry out, slow down healing and can even lead to flaking of the skin.
